Keychain Tiers

Keyblades come in various shapes and sizes, and even unique abilities thanks to the Keychain attached to the end of them. While all of them strike just as hard as the next, with some exceptions, every Keychain has a unique feature, ability, or buff that can be exploited beyond your normal starting Keyblade.

Keychains come in three tiers. Quite simple, right?



Tier 1 Keychains are your base, original Keychain. It is the Keyblade you start with that has only one unique attribute to it, and nothing else. While the base Keychain can be one of the canon ones or entirely unique (of course you can't choose the late-game Keyblades like Ultima and such), their low power makes them less viable.



Tier 2 Keychains are more powerful versions. They have two unique features to them rather than the normal one, and can be custom or canon. Again, same limitations apply as before. You usually get two Tier 2 Keychain slots to choose from.



Tier 3 Keychains are your most powerful Keyblades. While you only get one, they deal the most damage and still have two unique attributes. They can be unique and custom, or one of the canon ones.



Ultima Keychains are even more powerful than the normal Tier 3 and, once obtained, replace the original Tier 3 that you had. They feature three unique attributes rather than two whilst also retaining the damage bonus. However, they are only awarded in certain events as deemed by the administration. Having an Ultima Keychain precludes the ability to gain Dual-Wielding.



Attributes Overview

Attributes are special boosts or even unique abilities given to the Keyblade through the Keychain attached to it. You are given a limit, a set number, of attributes you can add and use, so decide carefully how you want your Keyblade to work. For canon Keyblades, simply use the wiki page for reference. We aren't that nit-picky on how you do it, as long as the abilities and bonuses are fair.

An example of a Keyblade set-up would be this:

Attributes:

Swing Speed Boost: The keyblade is lighter and has more acceleration added onto it when swung. Therefore, it allows the wielder to swing more quickly without sacrificing power. (Boost)

Aero-Blade: The keyblade can activate an Aero spell around itself, creating vacuum blades. This allows it to hit with more power of the magic variety for a short time (1 post). It cannot be reused for two more posts afterwords. (Ability)

Abilities are basic in rank, so make sure to note that. Boosts are applied ONLY TO THE KEYBLADE, not to the wielder. So you can't have a general movement speed boost or an increase in agility. There are a few circumstances where the Keyblade may affect the wielder, such as Keyblades that offer more aerial combat ability.
